All new clients to ‘Vocampus’ and ‘Vocalive’ will take a short, online level test to provide our teachers with an indication of ability.
For ‘Vocampus’ clients, your coach will send you an email with your level test results. Following an agreement on the number of hours of online programmes a client would like to undertake with ‘Vocampus’, payment is made by bank transfer to our bank account or via Stripe / Bitcoin (see webpage for details). Once payment has been received, you will be able to make suggestions to your coach concerning your needs and requirements for future learning and your coach will send you an outlined scheme of work. Your coach will review your work online and make regular suggestions for improvement throughout your course of study.
‘Vocalive’ clients will undergo a short, online level test to provide our teachers with an indication of ability and then have a ‘free’ 15 minute, online learning session with a teacher via VoIP (Skype or Zoom). This will allow us to check your level of spoken ability and to ensure the appropriate software is functioning correctly and that the connection is also functioning adequately for the purpose of online learning.
Following an agreement on the number of hours of online programmes a client would like to undertake with ‘Vocalive’, payment is made by transfer to our bank account or via Stripe / Bitcoin (see webpage for details). The client will then be contacted by a dedicated teacher via VoIP (Skype or Zoom) and, during the first learning session, an outline of a course of study will be provided to the client for the next sessions. After each session, the teacher will send the client feedback on the session and the outline for the next session, so that the client can review any mistakes and weaknesses and also prepare for the next lesson. The outline for the next lesson may include grammar exercises, specific vocabulary development, a reading comprehension from a newspaper article or a journal, a listening comprehension from a video or excerpt from a news channel or another such item in order to stimulate maximum learning and enhance communication during the following face-to-face session. It is important that clients attempt to complete any outline of work prior to the next session and so optimise the input / output and learning opportunities from face-to-face sessions. This is the essence of the ‘Blended Learning’ approach.
